Virtual Labs
Run mechanical engineering experiments on the national Virtual Labs portal, write your observations here, and keep a record sheet for your lab file.
FMHM Offline Virtual Lab
Developed by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, GP Chhotaudepur
The FMHM Offline Virtual Lab is developed in-house as per the Gujarat Technological University syllabus for Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machinery (DI03000171). The course is taught in Semester 3 of the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering under the revised curriculum 2024-25. The lab covers all four units of the course: fluid properties and pressure measurement, fluid flow and measurement, impact of jet, and hydraulic machines. Each experiment follows the university practical list and the department’s lab manual, with the same aim, procedure and observation tables that students use in their lab file.
The lab runs fully offline, so students can get hands-on practice in the FMHM lab without internet. They can repeat each experiment as often as needed and build a clear understanding of concepts such as Bernoulli’s theorem, flow measurement, impact of jet, and the working of turbines and pumps. Teachers can use it for class demonstrations, to prepare students before lab sessions, and to help students who missed a practical. Because our own faculty built it, the lab can be updated whenever Gujarat Technological University revises the syllabus.
